Electrical contacts: an introduction of design tools and guidance

 The team at Deringer-Ney has been working with customers on electrical contact design for decades. This experience is culminated in the “Ney Contact Manual” as a guide to the science and application of electrical contacts. This presentation builds off the Contact Manual and provides calculation tools to get any technologist started on the path to designing an electrical contact system. The focus will be on applications that are generally low power and non-arcing. Calculations will cover both mechanical and electrical performance criteria.
